THE DREAM

To make wild chicks like Lulu, Amina, Akiki, and Baby Ella (pictured above) as loved as their talking and dancing counterparts online, because I don’t want to see another chick suffer or see another person like me beg for help that never comes. So please help them build their very own human flock, because the fame of the few can change the future for them all.

The fame of the few can change the future for them all.

Have you ever felt unloved and invisible, while everyone around you was singing and dancing, and having fun?

The WILD COUSINS of our beloved COMPANION African Grey parrots are screaming to be heard and seen. Chicks are ripped from their nests every day, fledglings and parents glue trapped on branches, and entire families netted on the ground to supply the global demand for talking pet parrots. Most of the wild cousins of the babies we love as FAMILY will die after capture, but unlike our family birds who dominate social media, the wild babies are INVISIBLE, and no one is dancing or singing for them.

The joy in your home has created horror in the Motherland, because the international community has loved the African Grey parrot to death.

The horror I have seen in their eyes has permanently changed how I see the world, so will you and your bird join the chicks and me as global chick-fluencers for good? I have spent thousands of hours in the rainforest with the babies, quietly listened and learned for years, built relationships with local communities- including with poachers who agreed to stop poaching and start helping me protect the chicks. I fight in honor of my own Grey, named Kora, and for my girls in heaven, Katie and Nelie. Who will you fight for?
